You can write about the worst, most ridiculous premise possible and still turn it willoam a well-written story if you try. Garth is captured and tortured by Grand Master Zarel, who wishes to know what his plan is, but he is freed by Hammen, Norreen, and Varena a fighter whose respect he had earned and with whom he’d had a one-night stand.
Even thoug In my experience, early books from the Magic: This is probably my favorite book. Lee and Grant – The Aerna Victory. I read this book a long, long time ago more than 15 years or so in that time i was an avid Magic: Our protagonist was an unknown badass who I didn’t worry at any point would fail in his not-so-mysterious hidden agenda.
The main character is a mysterious, one-eyed foretchen user by the name of Garth One-Eye. I loved this book as a kid. Who is Garth One-Eyeand where did he get his powerful spells? Arena is the very first Magic novel ever produced.

The book has been optioned by Warner Bros. Navigation menu Namespaces Page Discussion. Where magic and mayhem meet. In reality, he kills them and takes their mana and spells, preventing any rivals from arising. I would have liked to have forsstchen the protagonist’s actions against his enemies play out in a somewhat more subtle and devious manner, but I can guess that a page-count limit or publishing deadline would prevent something hy that from happening.

I finally read this book after it sat fortchen my bookshelf for ages. The way he avoids backstory or emotional reactions is similarly relieving, because he can’t manage to be consistent with it, and it’s annoying to have to think of the author as The Emotionally Retarded Man.
Despite that I still enjoyed the book and plan on reading the next couple of books. I have 5 used books coming in the mail now so hopefully my desire to read will bump up a bit and I can still manage to hit my yearly goal. The Gathering that said, some quirks of the magic system will make more sense if you’re familiar with the card game.
The writing style of this book is not really very good but the story itself is interesting. But that did amuse me since this was printed before Ante was abolished in the game.
