Also it had been a while since I’d re-read Inkheart or Inkspellso some cornella were hard for me to remember.

He’s a totally useless character in this book. It’s probably a mixture of fubke. Meanwhile Orpheus tries to gain wealth and power by allying with Adderhead, and the Milksop and the Piper kidnap all the children in Ombra to force Mo to sacrifice himself. Having now read the final book in the series, I see why that original title was so apt and think it was very unfortunate that it was changed. They longed to be away from the death and destruction, but they knew it wouldn’t disappear just because they did. O I fell in love with this character through this book.

Life in the Inkworld has been far from easy since the extraordinary events of Inkspellwhen the story of Inkheart magically drew MeggieMo and Dustfinger back into its pages. They didn’t need another girl in that family anyway. It’s so different than the two other books in the trilogy, and that’s one of the reasons why this is my favorite of all three. I absolutely loved Doria’s character and instantly forgot about Farid.


Indeath originally titled Tintentod is a young adult novel written by German author Cornelia Funke and translated by Anthea Bell. The ending was really rushed, and I kind of wish that the author had slowed down to explain some things and left out all of the unnecessary details that amounted to nothing in the end anyway. What a fantastic book!

I mean, what’s not to like. Plus, why did the White Woman care so much about Mo? Jacopo betrays his grandfather, the Adderhead, by giving Mo the original white book so that he is able to write the three words, thus killing the Adderhead. It’s like someone totally erased it in her mind, or Funke didn’t think it was important anymore Violante, now known as Her Kindliness, becomes ruler of Ombra, and a new Folchart, a boy, is born into Inkworld, longing for the world that his parents and sister were born in, to see if the tales they told about it were true.
